Can any one help me in executing ajax application,i have html and php whats next? i have good grip in java programming,but i am new to ajax. I have a html file and a php file ,i know how to manage with servlets using tomcat server,but i don't where to locate the php file in tom cat server can any one give me a solution pleas?

All ajax is is getting a URL in the background in javascript. Your server side code is very similar to any other page, except you might print less data, or format it differently.

For the javascript end, I suggest searching the web for a ajax tutorial. Once you find one, you can probably copy/paste some helper functions and get right to work.

You know, its funny, I'm reasonably well acquainted with Jesse James Garett, who coined the phrase "AJAX" to refer to this genre. Almost as amusing as the fact that this very forum is now residing on my IP address space (try doing a whois). I love being me. 8-)
